Clean & Sober Living Environment

The House of Change is a clean and sober living environment, for men, women and families looking for assistance to help become productive citizens of society. Our goal is to promote growth within our participants, in order for them to become independent. House of Change 2551 is designed to facilitate the full use and potential of each participant to help make their everyday living environment a more comfortable growing experience. By doing so, each participant may become gainfully employed, reunite with their families, get healthy mentally and/or physically. Each participant in the House of Change 2551 is treated impartially and fairly with the proper supervision and in an unbiased and reasonable manner. Each participant comes in with a unique set of circumstance and the program is individually curtailed to best meet their needs.

The House of Change 2551 has several daily groups: Monday thru Friday, between the hours of 6am and 4pm. The treatment programs and interventions that are included, but not limited to: Life Skills, Triggers & Coping Skills, Criminal & Addictive Thinking, Men’s and Women’s Support Groups, N/A Meeting A/A Meetings, Spiritual Group, Drug and Alcohol Education, Steps In Light (12 Step Meetings), Case Management and Faith Based Recovery, just to name a few.  In addition to the above mentioned, The House of Change 2551 offers weekly individual psychotherapeutic counseling, and group therapy if needed and conducts random drug testing of all participants. House of Change 2551 provides two hot meals per day and the use of laundry facilities, 24 hour on- site staff coverage is also provided for security. House of Change 2551 is a newly designed program in the West Oakland Area. House of Change 2551 is making a difference in the lives of many men and women and their families. Assistance and avocation is provided in order to obtain General Assistance, Food Stamps, Veteran Affairs, Housing, Clinical Visits and medically related issues that may obtain to their case. The House of Change also do randomly drug testing and also at the clients request.
